I'm Lynsay, a Shopify consultant based in Poole, Dorset. I spent over a decade designing digital products for some of the UK's biggest brands before going solo.
I've spent my career thinking about how people use digital products. What makes them click, what makes them leave, what builds trust and what destroys it. That work took me through roles at Virgin Media, Compare the Market, and a string of other well-known brands where the stakes were high and the user research was thorough.
At some point I realised that kind of thinking was only available to companies with serious design budgets. Small business founders building Shopify stores were largely on their own, working from templates and tutorials, trying to reverse-engineer what the big brands do.
So I started Welcome Studio.
Most Shopify consultants focus on the technical side. Getting your store set up, making it look nice, adding the right apps. That stuff matters, but it's not what makes people buy.
What makes people buy is a store that's been designed with their journey in mind. Clear information architecture. Product pages that answer the right questions at the right moment. A buying experience that removes friction at every step. That's the product designer's toolkit, and it's what I bring to every project.
You don't need to know any of that. You just need to know that your store will work harder for you than it did before.
I work with a small number of clients at a time, which means you get my full attention rather than a junior account manager and a template proposal. Projects run at your pace, communication is direct, and I'll never give you a recommendation I can't explain in plain language.
If you've been putting off sorting your Shopify store because it felt too complicated, too expensive, or like something you'd need to hire an agency for, let's talk.
